My name is Róisín.

I am a fashion stylist and retail consultant.

In my 15-year retail career, I've worked in everything from merchandising and logistics to e-commerce and creative leadership – it's been quite the range of skills! All of these experiences have steered me to where I am today, bubbling with passion and drive to help independent businesses toward growth and success.

As well as a business enthusiast,I am a big advocate for slow fashion, preloved gems and the recommerce sector. I’ve woven these values into my work. It’s not just about profit but making a sustainable impact.

Róisín’s Story

Róisín started her career at The White Company in London, as a trainee merchandiser, straight out of college. After three years with the multi-channel retailer, she moved to the Arcadia Group and took up the role of assistant merchandiser at Dorothy Perkins.

Within a year, she was headhunted to join Phase Eight, where she spent five years working her way to Senior Merchandiser. During this time, she led the global daywear clothing team and worked with John Lewis, Debenhams, Next, QVC and globally De Bijenkorf (Netherlands) and Alshaya (UAE).

Following her success at Phase Eight, she was promoted to Commercial Manager of a newly acquired sister brand, Damsel in a Dress. Here she oversaw the rebrand of the retailer across merchandising, buying, e-commerce and logistics. Whilst running Damsel in a Dress, she also led the merchandising team for Studio 8, a plus-size sister brand to Phase Eight.

Returning to Ireland in 2020, Róisín saw an opportunity to join a start-up in sustainable fashion. She had become very aware of the impact of fast fashion on the environment and the necessary need for change and disruption to the industry.

She joined Nuw, at the time a borrowing and lending clothes app, as a partnership lead. Within a few months, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer, seeing the business through COVID-19. The business model pivoted, to a secondhand clothing exchange app, operating across Ireland and the UK.

In the summer of 2022, Róisín led the soft launch of Nuw in the US market, setting up operations in New York. During her three years at Nuw, the company secured two rounds of investment, equating to $2m.

2023, saw Róisín decide to go solo and lean into her creative arm. She is now using her experience and expertise to support small businesses to succeed and enjoying pursuing her ambition of commercial styling.
